Position Summary

As a Speech‑Language Pathology Pediatric Resident at Ivy Rehab for Kids, you will be a full‑time teammate as you complete the Ivy Rehab Pediatric Residency Program. You have the opportunity to learn about topics across the field of pediatric speech‑language pathology, including oral motor skills/feeding, childhood apraxia of speech, autism, augmentative and alternative communication, childhood language and articulation disorders, executive functioning, and pragmatic language to grow clinical skills and provide quality, top‑of‑license care.

Job Description

Speech‑Language Pathology Pediatric Resident / (Full‑time, 40 hours/week) – Ivy Rehab for Kids, Outpatient Pediatric.

Position Qualifications / Admissions Criteria

  • Graduation from an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology Master’s Program
  • Active SLP licensure in current state of practice, prior to residency start date
  • Employed as a Full‑time Therapist for at least 3 months by Ivy Rehab Network, prior to program start date
  • Required membership and certification with the American Speech Language Association (ASHA)
  • Commitment to successfully completing all program requirements including independent study
  • Commitment to a minimum of two years of continued employment at Ivy Rehab, post‑graduation from program

Program Requirements

  • Completion of all required didactic modules (300+ hours)
  • Completion of all assessments, logs and forms
  • Completion of Live Patient Examinations
  • Passing of all required quizzes
  • Satisfactory completion of required presentations
  • Completion of complex case presentation
  • Completion of Residency Special Project
  • Completion of 100 mentor hours
  • Complete a minimum of 1,500 patient care hours during residency year
  • Attendance and participation in all scheduled residency education events
  • Satisfactory achievement of all resident core competencies

Financial Obligations

  • Program Tuition: $4,500
  • This can be paid in full or over a 1‑ or 2‑year payment plan through paycheck deductions
  • As a full‑time employee of Ivy Rehab for Kids, each program participant will maintain their salary commensurate with hours worked and benefits during the length of the program
  • 2‑year employment commitment post‑graduation to satisfy the financial investment Ivy contributes to each participant
