LHH is partnering with a rapidly growing publicly traded organization to identify a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong SEC reporting, technical accounting, and corporate accounting experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, high-visibility environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience preparing public company filings, researching complex accounting matters, and supporting financial reporting in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Assist with financial statement preparation, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and equity reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to corporate and technical accounting matters.
- Support the monthly close process and corporate general ledger activities.
- Perform technical accounting research and assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and accounting policies.
- Assist with accounting for business combinations, stock-based compensation, debt, equity, consolidations, and other complex accounting transactions.
- Prepare financial reporting related to acquisitions, including supporting schedules and required disclosures.
- Partner with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance leadership on special projects and process improvements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including public company financial reporting and corporate accounting.
- Hands-on experience preparing SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and technical accounting research.
- Experience with financial reporting platforms such as Workiva preferred.
- Oil & gas industry experience is a strong plus but not required.
