Assistant Store Manager (Retail)

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to help guide daily operations and provide support to our store team. This is a full-time position that involves key holder duties, setting an example, and helping to create a friendly, customer-focused atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise store opening and closing procedures
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to meet sales goals
  • Lead customer service initiatives and address concerns efficiently
  • Provide training to staff on store processes and operational standards
  • Delegate daily tasks and organize team breaks
  • Support merchandising efforts and keep the store organized and clean
  • Handle register overrides, safe and till counts, and cash balancing
  • Help enforce loss prevention procedures

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills and leadership abilities
  • Friendly approach with a commitment to customer care
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or other customer service roles
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Willingness to complete Key Carrier Certification within 60 days of hire
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years old due to job responsibilities

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Able to bend, reach, and stay physically active throughout the shift
