Assistant Store Manager (Retail)
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to help guide daily operations and provide support to our store team. This is a full-time position that involves key holder duties, setting an example, and helping to create a friendly, customer-focused atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Supervise store opening and closing procedures
- Collaborate with the General Manager to meet sales goals
- Lead customer service initiatives and address concerns efficiently
- Provide training to staff on store processes and operational standards
- Delegate daily tasks and organize team breaks
- Support merchandising efforts and keep the store organized and clean
- Handle register overrides, safe and till counts, and cash balancing
- Help enforce loss prevention procedures
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills and leadership abilities
- Friendly approach with a commitment to customer care
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or other customer service roles
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Willingness to complete Key Carrier Certification within 60 days of hire
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old due to job responsibilities
Physical Requirements
- Capability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Able to bend, reach, and stay physically active throughout the shift
