Job Title: IPC Assembler
Location: Oldsmar, Orlando, Clearwater, FL
Job Type: [Full-time/Part-time/Contract]
Compensation: [$16.50 Per hour To $30.00 Per hour on W2]
: We are seeking an experienced Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IPC standards (Institute for Printed Circuits), experience with assembly and soldering techniques, and the ability to work with electronic components in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables in accordance with customer specifications.
- Work from diagrams and technical drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and power tools to assemble parts.
- Perform soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs), connectors, and other electronic components.
- Make continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies to ensure functionality.
- Conduct quality inspections on processing lines, ensuring all assemblies meet specified quality standards.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
- Interpret and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Identify and troubleshoot defects in the assembly process and take corrective action.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, and other applicable IPC standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure product quality and performance.
- Document work processes and maintain production logs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in electronics or related field is a plus).
- Proven experience as an IPC Assembler, or similar role in electronics assembly.
- Strong understanding of IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards.
- Proficient in soldering and assembling electronic components.
- Experience with mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in IPC-A-610 or IPC-J-STD-001.
- Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and handle small, delicate components.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
