Industrial Valve Assembler Job Description The Industrial Valve Assembler plays a key role in building, testing, and inspecting industrial valves used across manufacturing, oil and gas, water systems, and other industrial applications. This position combines hands-on mechanical assembly with careful adherence to engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Assemble industrial valves and related components according to engineering specifications, blueprints, assembly diagrams, and detailed work instructions. Inspect parts, materials, and subassemblies prior to assembly to verify quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as torque wrenches, calipers, and micrometers to perform precise assembly tasks. Perform pressure and functional testing on assembled valves to confirm proper performance and identify any issues. Identify, document, and report defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications to the appropriate teams. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble valves as needed for maintenance, rework, or quality improvements. Maintain accurate production, testing, and quality records in line with internal procedures. Follow established workplace safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work area. Collaborate closely with quality control, engineering, and production teams to meet operational goals and production schedules. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail. Essential Skills Previous experience as a mechanical assembler, product assembler, final product assembler, component builder, or in a closely related mechanical assembly role. Experience using hand tools and power tools in an industrial, construction, or light industrial environment. Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment. Ability to use a computer without additional training for basic production, quality, or reporting tasks. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, assembly diagrams, and written assembly instructions. Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated assembly experience and familiarity with mechanical components. Basic math skills to support measuring, calculations, and verification of specifications. Ability to use measuring instruments and tools accurately, including calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control in all aspects of assembly and testing. Physical ability to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and handle heavy components safely. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical or vocational training in a mechanical, industrial, or related discipline is preferred but not required. Experience in manufacturing, industrial environments, or light industry production settings. Familiarity with construction or mechanical environments where blueprints and assembly drawings are used. Comfort working within small team-based assembly cells to complete daily production tasks. Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with quality, engineering, and production teams. Work Environment This role is based in an assembly cell within a climate-controlled facility that may feel cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. alongside small, collaborative teams to complete daily production tasks. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and safety, with regular use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments as part of the daily workflow. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of clifton park, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
