As a Security Officer Reception Console in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Our Front Desk Officers serve as the first point of contact at a professional commercial real estate location, helping manage access, greet visitors, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. In this stationary role, you will use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, manage visitor access and sign-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive front desk presence and policy adherence.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support building operations by communicating clearly with tenants, vendors, and/or guests in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate contacts according to site protocols.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and front desk documentation, and communicate notable activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues to Allied Universal and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
