Overview

Tidal+ is the signature restaurant of Hyatt at Olive 8, offering pairings that showcase the bounty of the Pacific Ocean and Pacific Northwest harvests. The role combines bartending duties with restaurant server responsibilities as business levels allow.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, with precision and efficiency.
  • Engage guests in a friendly and professional manner, offering recommendations and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized bar and restaurant area, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards to ensure the well‑being of guests and team members.
  • Assist in training new team members and maintaining high standards of service excellence.
  • When business allows, perform server duties such as submitting guest menu selections, presenting food and beverage preferences, and creating the restaurant experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a high‑volume restaurant or bar.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, including classic cocktails and current trends.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact confidently with guests and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for long periods and lift moderate amounts of weight.
  • MSAT and Food Handler's Card required.
  • Understanding of state and local serving guidelines (preferred).

Pay

Hourly rate $17.13–$19.99 per hour. Primary bartender rate $19.60 per hour. Eligible for tips and gratuities.

Paid Time Off

Full‑time colleagues accrue vacation days: 10 days (80 hours) with 1–4 years of service, 15 days (120 hours) with 5–9 years, 20 days (160 hours) with 10+ years. Two floating holidays and six paid holidays occur each year. Regular part‑time colleagues earn prorated vacation hours based on average weekly hours during the previous 12 months.
