Position Overview

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse serves as a leader in providing patient-centered care through the nursing process while practicing within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and Nursing Scope & Standards of Practice.

The RN is responsible for:

  • Coordinating and delivering quality patient care
  • Delegating and directing licensed and ancillary staff
  • Supporting positive patient outcomes
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
  • Promoting patient safety and customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrating accountability and professional practice standards

Experience RequirementsRequired

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience

Education RequirementsRequired

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program
  • Registered Nurse Diploma

Preferred

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Required Licensure & CertificationsRequired at Submission

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in State of Practice
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • CPI Certification (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Supplier Note: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NRP are required at submission.

Preferred

  • Specialty Certification in a Clinical Practice Area

Physical RequirementsHeavy Work Classification

Position may require:
