Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an Electrical Construction Estimator to develop accurate, field-informed cost estimates for industrial electrical construction and installation projects.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical field background who understands how work actually gets done—someone who can translate drawings and specifications into real-world execution plans, costs, and risks.

You’ll work closely with construction managers, engineers, tradespeople, and manufacturers to ensure estimates are practical, competitive, and aligned with field realities across industries like energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and advanced manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

Analyze bid packages and develop detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes

Perform takeoffs and interpret: Electrical drawings and schematics, P IDs and Isometric and multi-view drawings

Conduct site walks and client walkthroughs to validate scope and conditions

Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, and field electricians to validate constructability and execution approach

Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to confirm product specifications and pricing

Engage with inspectors and regulatory authorities to ensure permitting and compliance

Specify and source electrical materials (wire, conduit, fittings, control systems, etc.)

Manage vendor quotes, material procurement strategies, and delivery planning

Support project teams with schedule alignment, labor planning, and cost tracking

Ensure estimates reflect realistic installation methods and field constraints

Apply and uphold standards across: NEC / NFPA 70 and OSHA (29 CFR 1926)

Incorporate safety considerations such as LOTO, arc flash, and site-specific requirements into estimates

Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, estimating accuracy, and standardization

Maintain organized documentation of estimates, assumptions, and revisions

What You Bring

7+ years of electrical field construction experience

3+ years of electrical estimating experience

Strong hands-on knowledge of power distribution, instrumentation and control wiring

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics, P IDs, and multi-view and isometric drawings

Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and OSHA standards

Experience with estimating tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Familiarity with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

High attention to detail and analytical thinking

Ability to balance office-based estimating with field validation

Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills

Additionally

Valid driver’s license

Willingness to travel locally for site visits

Work Environment
