Intern

The Therapeutic Recreation Intern supports the Therapeutic Recreation department in delivering person-centered, medically informed recreation and leisure interventions for residents/patients across Independent, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Acute Rehabilitation. The intern works under the supervision of a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to promote residents’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial well-being through meaningful activities aligned with individual preferences and care plans. (Activities programs in nursing homes are expected to be based on assessment, the care plan, and resident preferences.)
