Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse, providing vital care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in various departments including Emergency, Obstetrics/Labor and Delivery, Operating Room, and Med/Surg-Inpatient.
Emergency Room Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, coordinate, implement, and assess the delivery of skilled patient care consistent with nursing standards and evidence-based practice.
- Oversee nursing care provided by both professional and non-professional staff, offering guidance and constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to establish effective care plans.
- Employ critical thinking to navigate complex clinical scenarios and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions.
Obstetrics Responsibilities:
- Initiate emergency nursing interventions to ensure the safety of mothers and newborns in the absence of immediate physician or midwife support, including preparation of the operating room and performing newborn resuscitation.
- Administer prescribed therapies such as medications and intravenous treatments while following established policies and standards.
- Craft, implement, and evaluate customized care plans throughout pregnancy and childbirth phases.
- Maintain required certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Neo-Natal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Fetal Monitoring.
Operating Room Responsibilities:
- Create individualized care plans based on thorough assessments and patient conditions.
- React to life-threatening situations by initiating emergency resuscitation as per adult and pediatric protocols.
- Stay current with ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications and demonstrate proficiency in advanced perioperative care.
- Supervise care provided by other staff members, ensuring quality and safety.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and the interdisciplinary group to effectively plan and oversee patient care.
- Be available for on-call duties to assist with emergency surgical cases during off-hours.
- Ensure accurate counts of surgical sponges and instruments, serving as the second circulator as required.
Med-Surg/Inpatient Responsibilities:
- Advance evidence-based nursing practices by coordinating patient education and care management to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and make informed clinical decisions to implement patient care plans based on nursing processes.
- Administer medications and complete procedures in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Identify and respond to changes in patient condition, taking necessary action to maintain safety.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and keep abreast of current clinical guidelines.
