We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented maintenance professional to support the daily operations of a residential community. In this role, you will help ensure that buildings, amenities, and common areas are safe, clean, and well maintained. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, responds promptly to service requests, and delivers excellent customer service to residents and team members.
Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance on apartment homes, building systems, and common areas.
- Complete work involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, and HVAC basics as needed.
- Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential repair issues.
- Prepare vacant units for move-in by completing make-ready tasks efficiently and to company standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working condition.
- Assist with grounds and exterior upkeep, including trash removal and common area presentation.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and local regulations.
- Communicate clearly with residents, vendors, and team members to support a positive living experience.
- Document completed work orders, materials used, and any follow-up needs.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience in multifamily housing, hospitality, commercial, or related environments preferred.
- Working knowledge of general repair techniques, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance troubleshooting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment safely.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, climb stairs, and perform tasks that require standing or walking for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with make-ready turns and preventative maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of apartment community operations and resident service expectations.
- Familiarity with vendor coordination and maintenance tracking systems.
- EPA certification or other relevant technical certifications a plus.
