Non-Profit Staff Accountant

A non-profit organization in the Tukwila area is seeking a Staff Accountant to support its accounting team during a busy period. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization while utilizing your accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting, fund tracking, and month-end close activities.The ideal candidate will have experience working in a non-profit environment and hands-on experience with MIP Fund Accounting.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entriesPerform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesSupport fund accounting and grant tracking activitiesMaintain and reconcile restricted and unrestricted fundsAssist with financial reporting and budget-to-actual analysisPrepare schedules and supporting documentation for auditsResearch and resolve accounting discrepanciesEnsure compliance with organizational policies and funding requirementsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
