CDL A Driver / Cathodic Protection Equipment Operator

This position requires CDL A with no restrictions and will require travel up to 85% of the time on a rotation schedule. Tanker endorsement preferred.

Ideal candidates are located in Oklahoma or near Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.

This role will support our Cathodic Protection Installation and Maintenance crews.

Position Summary

As a CDL A Equipment Operator, you will work with a safety-first team to complete under/above ground utility Cathodic Protection projects. This position can be physically demanding and involves working in a typically outdoor heavy construction environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Hand digs or perform other manual labor duties when required or works in trenches and holes places units.
  • Secure and haul heavy equipment for the pipeline teams.
  • Lifts and/or transports material or equipment to its proper location on the job site.
  • Uses a variety of equipment, and other materials to construct assigned projects.
  • Performs splicing and placing of anodes as required.
  • Assembles and installs units related to assigned projects.
  • Actively participates in JSA and uses all necessary steps to complete tasks safely and ensures the safety of others working in the area.
  • Communicates with all levels of management and crew to effectively present any needs and changes.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Confidence to STOP work immediately when a problem is identified.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
