Duties

• Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting chief complaints with accuracy and compassion
• Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, test results, and treatment plans
• Knowledge in using Prognocis EMR is a plus
• Manage administrative tasks like scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and handling patient inquiries with professionalism

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical environments such as outpatient clinics, No-Fault clinics and Worker's Comp.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems.
• Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient environments
• Bilingual and proficient in Spanish and English, with correct medical terminology.
• Willing to work in different sites around Queens, Long Island, the Bronx, and Brooklyn.
• Must be able to drive.
