Overview:

Join our team in a rewarding seasonal role where you will provide medical care and respond to EMS and First Aid needs for guests and staff. As an essential member of our team, you'll help ensure quality patient care in accordance with EMS and First Aid Guidelines. Applicants must hold a valid license from the Georgia State Office of EMS/Trauma as EMT-I, AEMT, or EMR.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver essential medical care and transport services for employees and guests.
  • Ensure maintenance and readiness of all medical equipment and First Aid facilities.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, including First Aid reports and necessary data documentation.
  • Conduct safety inspections throughout the park as directed, including ride audits.
  • Respond to emergencies and assess the situation effectively.
  • Uphold standards for image, cleanliness, and courtesy.
  • Maintain a safe and team-oriented work environment.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns on a daily basis.
  • Complete any additional assignments as directed by Six Flags management.

Pay Rates:

EMT Pay: $19.50/hr

Paramedic Pay: $21.50/hr

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 18 years required.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must hold and maintain applicable National Registry certifications (EMT-P, EMTI, EMT-CT).
  • Possess and sustain a valid park driving permit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Capability to interpret various instructions and diagnostic forms.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and calmness in stressful situations.
  • Able to work effectively in environments with loud noises and flashing lights.
  • Capacity to function for extended shifts or assignments.
  • Aptitude to calculate ratios and read small print in critical situations.
  • Proficiency in English for reading, conversing, and understanding.
  • Ability to interview patients and witnesses effectively.
  • Skill to document all relevant information accurately.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and manage medical equipment exceeding 75 pounds.
  • Able to walk, run, bend, stoop, and crawl on uneven terrain.
  • Willingness to endure various environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Capability to perform EMS and occupational functions as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.
