Sales Associate, Inside Lawn & Garden

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Sales Associate in Inside Lawn & Garden, you will deliver exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers in finding the right products for their gardening and landscaping needs. You will help maintain department organization, support sales goals, and ensure the visual appeal of the garden center area.

• Greet and assist customers with questions and product recommendations for gardening, landscaping, and outdoor projects.
• Gain and demonstrate knowledge of lawn and garden products including plants, soil, fertilizers, tools, and décor.
• Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and ensure products are properly labeled and neatly displayed.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing department layout free of hazards and clutter.
• Support customers by helping them locate items, offering advice, and resolving concerns to enhance their experience.
• Promote seasonal products and assist in cross-selling relevant items to support department sales objectives.
• Follow store safety policies and ensure proper handling of heavy or bulky items.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure sufficient product availability and uphold customer service standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Interest or experience in gardening, landscaping, or outdoor living.
• Familiarity with Lowe’s lawn and garden products.
• Experience in a similar role in a garden center or outdoor retail environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay range: $14 - $17, based on experience and location.
