Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly before procedures begin
• Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing surgical tools with precision and care
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques to prevent infections and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately by documenting surgical details, patient information, and procedural notes in compliance with privacy regulations
• Support the surgical team in emergency situations by responding swiftly with appropriate protocols such as CPR or basic life support when needed
• Monitor the condition of surgical equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
• Stay current with advancements in hyperbaric medicine and other relevant medical fields to enhance procedural support and patient care

Experience

• Proven experience as a Surgical Technologist or similar role in a hospital or surgical center setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and aseptic techniques
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate documentation
• Understanding of hyperbaric medicine procedures is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively under pressure

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
