Echocardiology Technician / Radiology (898839)
Position Overview:
The Echo traveler for NMC must be proficient in the following procedures:
- Adult 2D echo
- with contrast agent
- bubble study
- Post cardiac cath
- Post surgical echo
- Assessment of pericardial effusion
- Pericardiocentesis imaging
- Calculating LV and RV strain
- Diastology with TDI
- PISA calculations
- Biplane measurements for EF
- Treadmill stress echo: setup, resting and stress imaging
- Dobutamine stress echo: setup, resting and stress imaging
- Transesophageal Echo (TEE): setup, image acquisition, physician assistance
The Radiology Technologist is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). The technologist maintains a state license as a general radiographer and provides timely diagnostic services to inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of a Radiologist, following departmental protocols. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, OR imaging services, and routine procedures.
