Rates and Flexibility

  • $19-$24 per hour for Special Education Paraprofessional assignments, depending on tier
  • $24+ per hour for Special Education Substitute Teacher assignments

What You'll Need to Get Set Up - choose your path

Special Education Substitute Teacher:

  • AZ Standard Professional Teaching Certificate or Substitute Teaching Certification
  • Special education endorsement or classroom experience with IEP students preferred
  • Valid Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Special Education Paraprofessional:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Experience with special needs students preferred
