What you can expect as an Quality In-Process Inspector at DAS Aviation:

A quality in-process inspector will help to insure that maintenance is performed to strict safety and airworthiness standards by conduction inspections at various stages and reviewing records. They also ensure compliance with regulations and company procedures by checking components, materials, and workmanship throughout the production or repair process. This role involves performing visual inspections, using precision measuring tools, documenting findings, and ensuring parts are correctly finished and configured. Responsibilities include daily in-process continuity inspections of repairs/repaired components. Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Quality.

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including

  • Inspect components for proper assembly by using and understanding component repair techniques and to assure they meet all approved data requirements.
  • Coordinate with Engineering for documentation of repairs that exceed repair data.
  • Use and interpret manufacturer’s maintenance manuals and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment by using a variety of electronic ohm meters, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, torque wrenches, etc.
  • Assure proper inspection records, inspection continuity sheets, temperature cure reports, and forms have been properly executed from receiving inspection, through in process and prior to return to service.
  • Create additional discrepancies found during the inspection processes.
  • Computer data entry.
  • Monitor and perform inspection requests made by Maintenance Technicians.
  • Research a variety of I.C.A. data.
  • Communicate discovered quality occurrences with other Inspectors/Supervisors.

Your Education

What you’ll need to bring with you:

A High school diploma or equivalent required.

A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Aviation Maintenance Technician certificate/s preferred.

Your Experience

5 years relevant to FAA 145 Repair Station aircraft/component sheet metal structural, metal to metal and composite bonding repair maintenance/inspections.

Experience navigating various computer electronic maintenance recording systems (such as Corridor),

Experience accessing a variety of Aviation OEM data portals, Microsoft Windows computer systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, & internal company networking computer file systems.

Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.

Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Maintain customer oriented work habits.
