Location:
Patient Service Area: Oakland County - homes, assisted living facilities, and independent senior living communities within Oakland County.
This position requires daily travel within the service area to provide care to patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes
Home Office: Bingham Farms, MI
Schedule:
Full-time Day Shift
Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p With Weekend On-Call Rotation
Required Qualification
Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
Sixteen hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training
Must hold current certification as a nurse aide and be in good standing on the state nurse aide registry
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant
Essential Skills and Competencies
Must be able to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions in English effectively
Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill in the home or facility
Is self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
Secure with issues of death/dying
Provides a calm manner when in a patient’s home
Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired
Pay Range
$20 $24 USD
