Position within the Department of Transportation, Airports Division. Rotating shift work: applicants must be available for evenings and weekends.

Duties Summary

This position supervises a crew of 4–6 janitorial staff, including inmate workers, overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of buildings and surrounding grounds. Responsibilities include scheduling and inspecting work, providing instruction, maintaining discipline, enforcing safety practices, and recording work activities. It also involves minor repairs and moving heavy furniture and equipment.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• General Experience

:

Two (2) years of janitorial or related custodial work.

• Supervisory Experience

:

One (1) year of experience with responsibility for scheduling, inspecting, instructing, maintaining discipline, enforcing safety, and keeping records of subordinates.

• Driver's License

: A valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.

• Federal Criminal History Records Check

:

Must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history check within the past ten years; the cost is the applicant’s responsibility.
