Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Welder (AWS D17.1) to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and aerospace quality standards. This position involves precision TIG welding of thin-wall aluminum aerospace components. We are seeking welders with experience producing small, close-tolerance parts where quality, consistency, and attention to detail are essential. Experience limited to structural or heavy fabrication is not the best fit for this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Welding Operations
- Perform welding on aerospace components in accordance with approved procedures
- Work with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, and other aerospace alloys
- Execute welding processes including TIG (GTAW) and other required methods
- Ensure welds meet dimensional, strength, and visual quality requirements
2. Drawing & Specification Compliance
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
- Follow qualified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Ensure work meets aerospace standards and customer requirements
3. Quality & Inspection Support
- Perform self-inspection of welds
- Address rework or corrections promptly when identified
4. Production Execution & Priority Support
Support production priorities including:
- Customer-critical components
- High-value aerospace parts
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet delivery schedules
Qualifications
- AWS D17.1 Aerospace Welding Certification (required or ability to certify)
- Strong experience welding Aluminum is required
- 5–10+ years of aerospace welding experience preferred
- Strong experience with TIG (GTAW) welding
- Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, or aerospace alloys.
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
