School-Based Social Worker

School Social Worker (SSW) | Alaska | 2026-2027 School Year Opportunities

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking School Social Workers interested in opportunities throughout Alaska for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This is a general-interest posting designed to connect qualified professionals with anticipated openings across multiple school districts. Specific assignments, caseloads, and locations will be discussed with qualified candidates as positions become available.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students
• Support students with social, emotional, behavioral, and attendance-related needs
• Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Conduct assessments and assist with crisis intervention
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
• Connect students and families with community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• Active Alaska social work licensure (LMSW or LCSW) or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Alaska Type C Special Services Certificate with a School Social Worker endorsement, or ability to obtain appropriate certification as required by the district
• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of special education processes and compliance preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay ranging from $32-$48 per hour (We also offer travel rates)
