About the position

Security Guards, also known as our Public Safety Ambassadors, protect and guard University property; maintain order among the public and the UCSF community; monitor and control entry to restricted areas; inspect areas to prevent fires, accidents, and other hazards; direct visitors and answer questions concerning building and/or exhibit layouts; and perform other related duties as required.\n\nThe final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors, including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The hourly range for this position is \$22.22 - \$29.87.
