Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDegree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist at an intermediate center for the full 2026-2027 school year. You’ll provide essential support to students, delivering individualized and group therapy that fosters communication skills, confidence, and academic growth.

Your expertise will be a critical part of a supportive educational environment, collaborating with dedicated colleagues and families to achieve student-centered goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Earned a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders or a closely related field
  • Hold active Illinois SLP licensure
  • Possess (or eligible for) a Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Previous experience in school settings or clinical fellowship year (CFY) is valued
  • Strong commitment to collaborative, student-focused care

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in individual and group formats
  • Develop and implement therapy plans based on students’ IEPs and best practices
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in assessments and IEP meetings
  • Advocate for students' needs and contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate
