Position: Delivery Driver / Furniture Assembler

Overview

CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for full-time non‑CDL drivers in Memphis, TN.

Pay

$18‑20 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Standard Monday‑Friday 7am‑4pm; some flexibility and occasional overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Start your day at the warehouse where you review your route, safety topics, and more with the operations team.
  • Drive a 26‑foot box truck with a lift gate to customers’ homes or offices.
  • Unload, deliver, and install furniture while interacting with customers.
  • Assist in the warehouse as needed; this may involve loading and unloading furniture.

Qualifications

  • Valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record.
  • Minimum of 3 months of professional experience driving a 24‑foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle; 1 year preferred.
  • Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs, and in all weather conditions; able to lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass drug screening and Motor Vehicle Record checks; CORT participates in the E‑Verify program.
  • Drivers must read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records per FMSCA Regulations.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; CORT does not sponsor visas.
  • This position is subject to a background check for convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities.
