Dental Assistant - Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for our pediatric and special needs surgery center. The successful candidate will assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients, support dentists and anesthesia providers, and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentist and anesthesia provider with instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies.

Prepare surgical cases: pick supplies, ensure readiness, maintain inventory.

Provide age‑appropriate care to pediatric and adolescent patients, considering developmental and psychosocial needs.

Assist with patient transfer from bed to gurney.

Decontaminate and maintain all equipment, instruments, supplies, and clean surgical rooms between cases and at the end of the shift.

Follow CDC guidelines for decontamination and sterilization.

Take and check x‑rays, mix cement and other materials as needed.

Handle suction hand‑pieces and air/water syringes.

Control specimen delivery to RN Circulator.

Assist with turnover of the OR and emergency care as directed.

Perform front desk duties and patient service coordination.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.

Current state license to practice as a registered dental assistant.

One year of RDA experience.

Current BLS certificate.

Background and drug screening required.
