Morning/Night Line Cooks

Southern Steak and Oyster is looking to add a great line cook to our team. This position is responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications.

Responsibilities Include:

​Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

​Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat or preparing sauces

​Cook menu items in cooperation with the entire kitchen staff

​Work within the direction of the executive and sous chefs

​Keep station clean and organized

​Stock inventory as needed

​Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations as well as safety regulations

These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive

Qualifications:

​Experience in food service industry

​Well-versed in preparing food items while adhering to recipe standards

​Skilled in setting up stations in the restaurant

​Committed to practice, check, and strengthen food safety procedures

​Able to re-stock all items as required

​Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to lift and to stand for long periods of time

Pay starts at $18/hour+ depending on experience. Part-time employees working over 20 hours/week will have the opportunity to enroll in our healthcare, dental, and vision plan after 60 days of employment. Eligible employees will also have the opportunity to participate in our employer-matched 401k program. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
