Vast is looking for a Manufacturing Coordinator , reporting to the Logistics Specialist, E-2 , to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of human-rated space stations.

In this role, you will join a team with exciting momentum that has produced and successfully tested fully integrated engine development samples. You will be a key member who will help transition the system from development to production.

This will be a full-time , non-exempt position located in our Hawthorne location.

Responsibilities:

Support end to end flow of material from receiving through inspection, inventory, allocation, and use on the shop floor

Execute inventory, shipping, receiving, kitting, inspection, cycle counting, and material allocation activities to support production and development

Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving, Quality Inspection, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, and the to keep material moving efficiently

Prepare, organize, stage, and prioritize received material for inspection to improve receiving speed, inspection flow, and parts-to-inventory cycle time

Maintain accurate transactions, labeling, storage, traceability, and segregation of material, including serialized, lot-controlled, bonded, MRB, and nonconforming inventory

Support machine shop and production floor readiness by ensuring required parts, raw material, consumables, kits, tools, and documentation are available when needed

Identify and implement process improvements that improve inventory accuracy, cycle count quality, receiving performance, material availability, and overall shop floor execution

Cross train to support other departments when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of experience in inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, production support, manufacturing operations, or a related field

Preferred Skills Experience

Experience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environments

Experience safely operating forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Experience in the assembly and testing of propulsion systems

Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing, production, warehouse, or operations environment

Experience using ERP, MES, WMS, or similar systems to complete inventory transactions, material movements, receiving activity, or production support tasks

Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to inventory accuracy, traceability, documentation, and accountability

Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and respond quickly to changing production or shop-floor priorities

Additional Requirements

Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed

Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted

Pay Range

Manufacturing Coordinator I: $19.00 - $25.00

Manufacturing Coordinator II: $22.00 - $30.00

Senior Manufacturing Coordinator: $28.00 - $38.00
