Leg Pain & Vascular Institute is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our growing specialty practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both direct patient care and procedural assisting while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Our ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and genuinely enjoys helping patients. Many of our patients arrive with chronic pain, vascular disease, or anxiety surrounding procedures, so we're looking for someone who can provide reassurance while delivering exceptional patient care.

Position Details
- Schedule: 3–5 days per week
- Employment Type: Part-Time with opportunity for Full-Time
- Work Setting: In-person
- Travel: Must be willing to work at both clinic locations (77065 & 77034)

ResponsibilitiesClinical & Procedural Duties
- Prepare patients for office visits and procedures
- Obtain vital signs and document patient information in eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Assist physicians during minimally invasive vascular procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile procedure trays
- Assist with:
- Varithena® vein treatments
- VenaSeal™ vein closures
- Ultrasound-guided procedures
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam and procedure rooms
- Assist with C-arm fluoroscopy during procedures (preferred)
Surgical & Procedure Coordination
- Schedule office-based procedures
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations
- Review labs, imaging, consent forms, and medical documentation
- Educate patients on procedure preparation and recovery
- Coordinate follow-up appointments
- Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure seamless care
Front Office Responsibilities
- Check patients in and out
- Verify insurance eligibility
- Collect copays and patient balances
- Schedule appointments and procedures
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Coordinate referrals
- Scan and upload medical records
- Assist with documentation and billing support
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
- BLS Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Reliable transportation to both clinic locations
Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent)
- Experience in:
- Vascular Surgery
- Interventional Radiology
- Vein Clinics
- Surgical or Specialty Practices
- Experience assisting with Varithena and VenaSeal procedures
- Familiarity with sterile technique and procedural assisting
- Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
