Role and Team

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships by understanding customer needs and providing the customer with the right mix of ADESA products and services to meet those needs. As a trusted business partner, you’ll suggest an individualized program of solutions tailored to each customer. You will contribute to our business growth in an innovative atmosphere, as a valued member of our ADESA community.

Responsibilities

Generate new business leads and close deals

Effectively execute ADESA’s Dealer Sales strategy

Prospect, upsell, and manage accounts to ensure growth in vehicles sold and purchased

Engage with customers and employees in a transparent, reliable, and positive manner

Demonstrate knowledge of products and services

Maximize technology

Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment

Demonstrate professional behavior and live by our core values

Driven, achievement-oriented attitude, and positive mindset

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Negotiator, follows up, follows through, and closer

Sales-focused, with an innovative and systematic approach

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred

College education preferred

Proven success in outside b2b sales

Territory management experience

Automotive experience preferred

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Effective interpersonal skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail

Confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information

Proven ability to manage deliverables and metrics against aggressive targets and timelines

Proficiency with computer systems and applications

Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets requirement

The physical activity requirements of the position range from Light to Medium Physical Work.

Frequent – standing, watching, touching, listening, walking, talking

Potential – running, jumping, yelling or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations

Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions.

Physical Working Conditions

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
