Position Description

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Domestic DIB, MRTFB Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will assess damaged parts to determine the sequence of operations necessary for sheet metal repairs or replacements.
  • You will remove fixed sheet metal and composite structures from aircraft and disassemble structural and non-structural metal and composite components.
  • You will use hand or power tools to make replacement parts for aircraft structural and skin sections.
  • You will work from technical drawings, directives, manuals, and other written or verbal instructions to complete sheet metal work.
  • You will comply with safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • You will assist with training and/or mentoring other artisans at the same or lower level.
