Role Description The CNC Operator role at GatorStep is a full-time, on-site position based in Lenoir City, TN. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to cut and shape materials according to production specifications. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, adjusting machine settings, and performing test runs to ensure accurate output. The CNC Operator inspects finished parts for quality and consistency, makes minor program or tooling adjustments as needed, and collaborates with team members to meet production deadlines. This role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, performing basic machine maintenance, and following all safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Machine Operation skills, including experience with CNC equipment and basic machine setup.
  • Candidates should possess Machining and Milling skills to accurately fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Candidates should possess Quality Control skills to inspect parts, verify measurements, and ensure products meet standards.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity with industrial Machinery, including routine maintenance and safe operating practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and cleanliness on the production floor.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or CNC operation preferred; vocational training or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
