Trueline's client, a growing design-build residential remodeling firm known for high-end craftsmanship and thoughtful project execution, is seeking a Lead Carpenter to join their team in Worcester County, MA. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing projects from demolition through completion, offering strong pay, consistent year-round work, and a clear path into senior field leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Supervise, mentor, and develop carpenters and apprentices on-site
- Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily job site activity
- Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, finish work, cabinetry, and installations
- Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to keep projects on track
- Manage schedules and workflow to ensure timely project delivery
Must-Haves
- 10+ years of residential carpentry experience
- Proven experience leading crews on remodeling or renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Solid leadership and communication skills
- Valid driver s license
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working on high-end residential or design-build projects
- Background with custom home builders or detailed renovation work
- Interest in mentoring and developing junior team members
