Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning with precision using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all aspects of food handling and kitchen operations
- Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for daily specials or seasonal offerings
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively for serving
- Follow safety standards in production, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
- Support catering events and food service operations by preparing large quantities of meals efficiently and accurately
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn
- Strong understanding of food safety management practices, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Experience with meal preparation, food service, and catering operations enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Demonstrated proficiency in culinary skills such as knife handling, slicing techniques, and food presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
