Position Purpose: As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting financial operations and capital investment allocation within Supply Chain. This position requires you to collaborate closely with key stakeholders to drive financial success and support strategic initiatives. You will need to showcase your ability to work independently while possessing a sharp analytical and strategic mindset that is crucial for conducting complex financial analyses and providing actionable insights that drive organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting (40%) - Guide the creation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial reports. Implement advanced financial modeling techniques to generate detailed forecasts, conducting variance analysis to shed light on key financial trends. Present clear and comprehensive reports to senior leadership, highlighting critical insights and risks. Assist with month-end closing processes.
- Preparing and Delivering Insights (30%) - Create and present financial analyses visually and verbally to business leaders. Discuss ongoing projects and strategies, answering queries with a strong financial control perspective. Offer actionable recommendations grounded in a deep understanding of business operations and the financial implications of decisions.
- Cross Functional Collaboration (20%) - Collaborate effectively with business leaders, including VPs, to gain a thorough understanding of their operations. Partner with stakeholders across finance and accounting to ensure clarity on financial inputs and outputs, allowing for comprehensive financial narratives.
- Project-Based Analysis (10%) - Conduct in-depth analyses for investment initiatives and capital allocation. Utilize financial modeling to explore various scenarios and elucidate the reasons behind potential variations in metrics.
Direct Manager / Direct Reports: This position typically reports to a Manager or Senior Manager and has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements: Typically involves overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements: Most work is conducted while seated in a comfortable position, with occasional opportunities for movement. Rarely, there may be a need to lift light items.
Working Conditions: The work environment is predominantly comfortable and indoor, with infrequent and non-objectionable unpleasant conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Tableau.
- Experience with presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to accurately interpret financial documentation.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with a focus on tailoring content for the target audience.
- Proven capabilities in presenting data effectively.
- Agility to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Strong attention to detail for high-quality output.
- Expertise in translating analytical insights into visual formats, crafting compelling graphics that enhance storytelling.
- Adaptability to organizational changes and evolving business needs.
- Robust strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, GBQ, and Tableau.
Minimum Education: Completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
Minimum Years of Work Experience: 2 years in financial analysis or related roles.
