Job Purpose

We are seeking a proactive, compliance focused and commercially adept Legal Counsel, with at least 3-4 years of post-qualification experience to support our legal and regulatory needs. The role will involve advising the team on a wide range of legal matters, ensuring compliance with the applicable laws and regulations. All this while supporting the business teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Areas of Responsibility

Commercial & Contractual

Drafting, reviewing and/or negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier, licensing, data protection, payments and service agreements;

Helping in improving and development of legal templates, legal processes and procedures;

Dispute Resolution

Support the management of disputes, claims, litigation cases;

Compliance and Regulatory

Monitor and advise on regulatory requirements to the business, supporting compliant policy developments;

Advising on areas such as IP protection, tax, employment law, commercial law, and consumer protection law.

Advisory to Business

Providing practical, risk-based legal advice to internal stakeholders across departments;

Identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies to support informed decision-making;

Working closely with data protection, AML, fraud and risk, finance, product and operations teams on day-to-day legal matters;

Corporate governance matters

Assist with corporate governance matters, including board documentation, resolutions;

Support corporate structuring across jurisdictions;

Requirements

Masters's Degree in law

At least 3-4 years of experience as legal counsel, with exposure to the igaming industry.

Strong experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.

Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously, with different regulatory regimes.

Knowledge about privacy laws, applicable in the EU, Gibraltar and US would be a plus.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to provide clear, concise, and pragmatic legal advice

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Commercially aware, with a business-oriented mindset

Ability to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional team
