Sheet Metal Fabricator

Position Overview

The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for operating related sheet metal fabrication equipment as part of their production team. This role supports the manufacturing of commercial ductwork components, including duct pipe and flanges, ensuring all products meet quality, dimensional, and production standards.

The ideal candidate has prior machine operation experience, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and production efficiency.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate roll forming, pipe rolling, flange-forming, and related fabrication equipment.
• Produce commercial duct pipe and flanges according to job specifications, production schedules, and quality standards.
• Inspect finished products to verify proper dimensions, accuracy, and overall quality.
• Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical or production issues to supervision.
• Organize and stage completed components for duct assembly and downstream production.
• Assist other departments as needed to support workflow and ensure timely production completion.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient work area.
• Perform hands-on machine operation requiring consistent standing, movement, and repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to stand and work on feet for up to 10 hours per day.
• Capable of repetitive motion and continuous movement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous machine operator or manufacturing equipment experience required.
• Sheet metal, ductwork, pipe, or flange fabrication experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow production instructions and measure accurately.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
