Dispatcher-AMAT Campus, Austin

Three Way Logistics is an industry leader in material management, logistics, and comprehensive transportation services with proven accuracy, flexibility, and on-time delivery who is looking for a Full Time Dispatcher for their Austin, TX facility. This role will be for the Third Shift.

Pay and Shift: Pay: $26.00 /hour. Tuesday to Saturday 10pm to 6:30am.

Summary: Assists in planning, directing, and coordinating all activities for drivers by performing the following duties personally or through delegation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities for drivers by performing the following duties personally or through delegation:
• Understanding of routing for drivers. Plans routes, schedules, and checks for efficiency
• Responsible for communicating with the customer via email and phone to provide updates, ETAs, expedite/ emergency requests, POD requests etc.
• Responsible for ensuring the vehicles are clean and meet maintenance standards and requirements. Responsible for checking daily pre and post trips from drivers
• Calls in service issues to vendors, ensures repairs are made and unsafe equipment is taken out of service
• Uses TMS to track new orders, make sure orders are being handled within the required time frame, make sure updates are being made, PODs entered, and order processed through completion
• Makes sure drivers are in presentable uniforms and required PPE for each shift.
• Uses Samsara to check for safety and compliance violations and route adherence
• Uses appropriate level of authority to discipline drivers and take immediate action concerning customer complaints and issues.
• Checks trip and dispatch logs for conformance with schedules and ensure driver accurately fills out manifests.
• Communicates with drivers through the shift to track progress, get updates on booked orders and route adherence

Education/Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the logistics industry.
• A minimum of 1 year with Dispatching.
