We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations and leadership across residential treatment programs located in the Idaho area!
The Clinical Director will provide strategic oversight of clinical programming, therapist leadership, and treatment team operations across multiple residential facilities supporting more than 40 treatment beds. This individual will play a key leadership role in driving clinical excellence, operational consistency, staff development, and high-quality client care delivery across both markets.
The ideal candidate brings strong behavioral health leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams within residential treatment, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient behavioral health, or other higher-acuity treatment environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for clinical programming across residential treatment facilities in Malibu and San Rafael
Supervise, mentor, and support therapists, clinical supervisors, and treatment teams across multiple programs
Ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness of clinical care delivery across sites
Support implementation and development of evidence-based treatment programming and clinical initiatives
Maintain oversight of clinical operations supporting 60+ residential treatment beds
Collaborate closely with executive leadership, operations, psychiatry, nursing, and admissions teams
Monitor documentation quality, treatment planning, utilization review, and compliance standards
Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of clinical staff
Provide support with crisis management, complex case consultation, and clinical escalation needs
Ensure compliance with state, federal, licensing, accreditation, and organizational standards
Participate in program growth initiatives, workflow optimization, and process improvement efforts
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Idaho clinical licensure (or eligibility to obtain Idaho licensure by endorsement prior to start) required as an LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, PsyD, or equivalent independently licensed behavioral health professional.
Previous clinical leadership experience within behavioral health settings required
Prior experience within residential treatment, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient behavioral health, or related higher-acuity settings required
Experience supervising therapists and multidisciplinary treatment teams required
Strong understanding of clinical operations, compliance standards, and evidence-based treatment practices
Ability to effectively support multiple facilities and geographically distributed teams
Experience working with adolescents, young adults, and family systems strongly preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Additional Details
Idaho based position!
Approximately 15 to 20% travel expected

Salary Range
$120,000 $130,000 USD
