Essential Duties

Under the general supervision of the Repair & Maintenance Supervisor, the Repair & Maintenance Technician is responsible for cleaning and repairing all available inventory based on company policy using the proper cleaning supplies and procedures. The Technician is also responsible for logging/documenting all cleaned/repaired inventory for proper record keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to work daily and is ready to work at the scheduled start time.
  • Must wear all safety equipment (i.e. back support and steel-toed shoes).
  • Assess “dirty area” and prioritize cleansing/repairing of workload for the day.
  • Ensure all team members and self are following proper cleaning procedures.
  • Use appropriate germicidal disinfectant cleaner (e.g., sprayed and left on equipment for 10 minutes).
  • Follow Super Care infection control cleaning procedures for all contaminated labeled equipment.

  • Un-bag equipment.
  • Spray germicidal disinfectant cleaner; let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Follow standard cleaning of equipment procedure.
  • Dispose of rags/towels used to clean contaminated labeled equipment.
  • Allow equipment/devices to run for 15–20 minutes for proper testing.
  • If any equipment does not successfully pass testing, RM Technician must communicate with Supervisor for further instructions.
  • Inspect/evaluate all equipment for possible repairs; send to manufacturer if extensive repair is needed.
  • Log and document all tested equipment/devices by end of week (Friday) in the Google Drive file “Cleaning Log” (serial number, item number, description, etc.).
  • Wipe down all surfaces in RM Department with disinfectant spray at the end of day in preparation for next business day.
  • Perform any other duties requested by Supervisor or Management.
  • Understand and adhere to all Super Care Health company policies.
  • Remain knowledgeable about all products.
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment.

Education and Work Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited high school.
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and miscellaneous items up to 75 lbs daily.
