Cannabis Delivery Driver & Depot Associate – Uproot
Location: Worcester, MA
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00–$20.00/hour, plus tips
Tips: Recent driver tips have averaged approximately $5–$6/hour, but tips vary by shift and are not guaranteed.
Schedule: Approximately 6-hour shifts, typically 1:00–7:00 PM. Weekday and weekend shifts available.

About the Role:
Uproot is looking for reliable, professional delivery drivers to help operate our cannabis delivery service in the Worcester area.
This is not just a driving job. Our drivers are the face of the company during customer deliveries and also help with depot operations when needed. The right candidate is punctual, careful with details, comfortable following compliance procedures, and able to provide friendly customer service while working in a highly regulated industry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver cannabis orders safely, professionally, and on time using company vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions.
- Follow all customer-specific delivery instructions.
- Verify customer identification and complete delivery procedures exactly as trained.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, support staff, and management.
- Report customer issues, cancellations, complaints, incidents, accidents, or unusual situations promptly.
- Follow all company cash-handling, inventory, security, and delivery procedures.
- Use required delivery technology, including routing apps, phone communication, GPS/vehicle systems, and other compliance tools.
- Maintain punctuality and clear communication regarding scheduling and attendance.
- Assist with depot operations as needed, including order preparation, stickering, packaging, labeling, and general production support.
- Follow all company policies regarding cannabis handling, confidentiality, safety, and compliance.
Compliance Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be eligible for a Massachusetts Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration Card.
- Must pass required background checks.
- Must pass a motor vehicle record check.
- Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
- Must complete all required company and regulatory training before performing delivery duties.
- Must follow all Massachusetts cannabis regulations, road laws, CCC requirements, and Uproot SOPs.
- No cannabis consumption, impairment, or unsafe driving is permitted while working.
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Comfortable driving during afternoon and evening hours.
- Comfortable handling cash and regulated inventory.
- Able to follow detailed procedures without cutting corners.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliable smartphone capable of running delivery, dispatch, and communication apps.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
Preferred Experience
- Cannabis industry experience, including budtending or dispensary work.
- Delivery driving experience, including courier, restaurant delivery, Uber, DoorDash, Instacart, or similar work.
- Cash-handling experience.
- Customer service experience.
Physical Requirements
- Able to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Able to bend, stoop, walk, climb stairs, and carry orders as needed.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
License / Certification
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required.
- Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration Card required before beginning cannabis-handling or delivery duties. Uproot will apply for the required registration for eligible candidates who do not already have one.
