Travel - Speech Language Pathologist - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Contract | Travel | Days | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bedside swallow evaluations and Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) for inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Provide dysphagia assessment and treatment, including use of VitalStim therapy
- Conduct cognitive assessments and deliver individualized cognitive treatment plans
- Deliver speech and language therapy for stroke rehabilitation and traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients
- Carry a caseload of approximately 6–8 patients per day with 30–45 minute treatment sessions based on referrals
- Respond to urgent evaluations for swallow or diet concerns as needed
Required Qualifications
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Active Georgia state Speech Language Pathology license required
- Proficiency in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
- Experience with dysphagia assessment and treatment
- Demonstrated competency in cognitive assessment and treatment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, with stroke rehabilitation experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- VitalStim certification or experience
- Experience performing Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI) treatment experience
