Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Maitland, Florida (Onsite)

Pay: $26 to $29/hr

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and assist with the monthly close process. This role focuses on expense management, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting support. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working with established accounting procedures in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process employee expense reports to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies
• Manage and support the corporate credit card program, including transaction reconciliation and payment processing
• Prepare and post journal entries such as accruals, reclassifications, and intercompany entries
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities
• Maintain accurate general ledger balances and supporting documentation
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across entities
• Assist with preparation of sales and use tax filings and supporting documentation
• Support internal controls, audits, and accounting process improvements
• Provide assistance with special projects and additional accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of accounting or related experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams
