General:
Assemble and test a variety of fluid processing products in accordance with detail and assembly drawings, company specifications/procedures, and verbal instruction in an ISO 9001 manufacturing facility. Fluid processing products include simplex and duplex strainers, pressure control valves, heat exchangers, manifolds, vents, scupper valves, self-cleaning strainers, and diverter valves.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience utilizing a broad range of hand tools, assembly equipment and safety equipment to perform tasks
- Experience in any of the following: Electric motors, pumps, gear boxes, mechanical seals, valves, heat exchangers.
- Ability to complete in-house skills training
- Attention to detail
- Productive time management
- Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- U.S. Citizenship required
Responsibilities:
- Operate calibrated tools including torque wrenches, digital calipers, and other measuring instruments
- Lap disc and plug valve seats to achieve watertight integrity
- Assemble hydrostatic test set-ups and perform hydrostatic testing
- Prepare completed products for shipment with corrosion preventative and product ID tags
- Occasionally debur fins and inclusions in castings
- Must maintain good housekeeping and safety standards
- Remain on task and follow through with assignments as directed by management
- Adhere to and read technical drawings and work plans/procedures
