Duties
- Greet customers warmly and gather vehicle information to understand their service needs
- Assist Service Advisors by preparing service orders, updating customer records, and explaining repair recommendations
- Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, and transmission work
- Support upselling efforts by identifying additional services that benefit the customer’s vehicle safety and performance
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments for services rendered
- Maintain detailed documentation of vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and estimates using automotive service writing software
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding vehicle status, repair procedures, and recommended maintenance plans
Skills
- Previous dealership experience or automotive service management background is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with auto estimating tools and service writing processes
- Proven ability to upsell additional services such as tire rotations, suspension checks, or diesel engine repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension components, and tire services
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
