LOCATION: Positions Throughout Austin Metro

COMPENSATION: Up to $80,000.

SCHEDULE: Full-Time & Part-Time | Monday–Friday shifts available

About the Role

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is responsible for delivering occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This includes implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with physical, developmental, cognitive, or emotional impairments; guiding patients through therapeutic activities to improve function and independence; and educating patients and families on adaptive equipment and daily living techniques.

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant also monitors and documents patient progress, reports findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist, maintains accurate clinical records in accordance with regulatory and facility standards, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program
  • Current and valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • At least 1 year in pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred (home health or early intervention a plus)
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto liability insurance
  • Comfortable working independently in home environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients
  • Guide children through therapeutic activities to improve function and independence
  • Educate families on adaptive techniques and home strategies
  • Observe, document, and report patient progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift and move patients or equipment up to 50 lbs with assistance
  • Manual dexterity and visual/auditory acuity for patient care
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
