Clinical Assistant | Path-to-Practitioner Opportunity

Carolinas Biofeedback Clinic | Charlotte, NC

On-site | Hourly | 35-40 hours/week

Carolinas Biofeedback Clinic is looking for a rare right-person/right-seat fit—someone who enjoys creating order behind the scenes, genuinely cares about people, and is excited by the opportunity to grow into a future Biofeedback and Neurofeedback Practitioner.

About Carolinas Biofeedback Clinic

At Carolinas Biofeedback Clinic, our mission is to elevate the human condition by helping people optimize brain and nervous system function through personalized, non-invasive care. We believe exceptional client outcomes begin with an exceptional team, which is why we invest heavily in mentorship, professional development, and a collaborative culture. We are committed to putting the right people in the right seats and creating opportunities for long-term growth.

This role has historically served as a successful path-to-practitioner position for the right individual. Several members of our clinical team began in this seat, mastered the operational and client-support responsibilities, pursued graduate education, and later advanced into clinician roles within our clinic.

The key is finding someone who is excited about both parts of that journey.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrates strong personal accountability and consistently follows through without needing daily supervision
  • Is collaborative, responsive, and enjoys being part of a team
  • Enjoys helping things run smoothly behind the scenes
  • Communicates warmly and professionally with clients
  • Learns technology quickly and enjoys working with clinical equipment and software
  • Has a strong interest in psychology, human development, nervous system regulation, mental health, biofeedback, or neurofeedback
  • Is excited to grow through an apprenticeship-style path toward becoming a practitioner

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting practitioners and clinical directors with clinical flow and readiness
  • Preparing rooms, equipment, materials, and client files
  • Assisting with intake paperwork, testing materials, and documentation workflows
  • Helping maintain organized clinical spaces and supplies
  • Communicating clearly with clinicians, leadership, and clients
  • Supporting a calm, professional, client-centered environment

This is not a shortcut to becoming a practitioner. It is an intentional development role designed for someone who finds satisfaction in mastering the fundamentals, supporting a team, and earning increasing responsibility over time.

An undergraduate degree in psychology, health sciences, human services, psychophysiology, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in biofeedback or neurofeedback is not required. Curiosity about neuroscience, the mind-body connection, and natural approaches to improving human performance and well-being is a plus.

We're not simply looking to fill a position—we're looking to invest in someone with the character, curiosity, and commitment to become an exceptional practitioner over time

To apply, please send your resume and a brief note about why this role interests you to melanie.berry@cbfclinic.com.
